Believe it or not, most medical products (including over-the-counter painkillers) have never been tested on women and AFAB individuals.

Women were excluded from medical trials until 1993, meaning lots of products on the market aren't designed for the female physiology.

Aside from replacing cotton with plastics and other synthetic materials, tampon manufacturing hasn't changed much since the first tampon was invented in 1929. We think it's about time people with periods had safer, more sustainable and more effective products!
