Are Daye tampons cruelty-free?

To fully confirm the long-term safety of the product, we have conducted tests on both animals (one off) and humans. It’s an unfortunate trade-off we had to make to ensure the safety of our product, and we are required by law to conduct animal trials since CBD is a new substance. 

Unfortunately, animal testing is often an unavoidable requirement when bringing a new product to market. Most tampon brands, whether organic or mainstream, have also had to test on animals, as do pain relief medications.

As we self-regulate as a medical device and are trying to combat a very serious female health problem, we saw this as a necessary one-off test, which we wholeheartedly promise will not be repeated. We are working alongside labs and researchers to develop an artificial vaginal canal and fluid, meaning future female health companies can test their products without animal trials. Aside from that, everything in our supply chain and manufacturing is and always will be both cruelty-free and vegan.

We will continue to present our research to bodies like the FDA, so that we can further scientific innovation and bring an end to animal testing.
