We create packaging that's easy on the eyes and the planet, allowing you to shop in sync with your values without compromising on comfort, quality or performance. The road to perfectly sustainable products is a long one, but we're excited to invest in the journey.
Here's how to dispose of Daye tampons and packaging:
Mailers and initiation box
Made from recycled and recyclable paper printed with bio-based inks. Reuse or put them in your recycling bin.
Cotton pouch
Our pouches are made from 100% natural cotton and are printed with water-based inks. We recommend washing them by hand in cold water with mild soap, and letting them air dry.
Traveller tin
This is made from aluminium, which can be endlessly recycled.
Tampons
Made from sustainably sourced, unbleached, certified organic cotton. They’re both dye and pesticide-free. After use, they'll break down within 12 weeks, so you can either dispose of them in your home compost or standard landfill.
Applicator
This is made from a bio-based, renewably sourced plastic derived from sugarcane. You can recycle it if thoroughly cleaned. It’s the only plastic we use in our packaging right now, and we’re working on a fully compostable applicator, coming soon!
Tampon wrappers
Our tampon wrappers are made from wood pulp and are entirely water-soluble. They don’t break down into microplastics and are safe for marine life.
We know all of this information can seem overwhelming, so we have put together the ultimate glossary of environmental terms to help you navigate the murky waters of eco-friendly products and packaging.
